Rhône Valley

The Rhône Valley, located in southeastern France, is one of the country’s most prestigious and diverse wine regions. The Rhône Valley is divided into two distinct sub-regions: the Northern Rhône and the Southern Rhône. In the Northern Rhône, the steep slopes along the Rhône River are home to iconic appellations such as Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, and Cornas, where Syrah reigns supreme for red wines and Viognier for whites. These wines are known for their elegance, complexity, and ability to age gracefully. Meanwhile, the Southern Rhône is characterized by its sprawling vineyards, where Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre dominate blends, particularly in famous appellations like Châteauneuf-duPape, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras. These wines are renowned for their rich flavours, bold character, and approachable style.
