Beaujolais / Maconnais

The Beaujolais and Mâconnais wine regions, located in southern Burgundy, France, are known for producing distinct styles of wine.

Beaujolais, famous for its light, fruity reds made from the Gamay grape, offers wines that are fresh and approachable, with the popular “Beaujolais Nouveau” celebrated annually.

The Mâconnais region, just to the north, focuses on white wines, primarily from Chardonnay. Mâconnais wines are often rich and fruity with a balance of minerality, showcasing a more affordable and accessible side of Burgundy’s esteemed white wines. Both regions combine tradition with unique terroirs to create expressive wines.
