Italy, Veneto

Veneto, situated in northeastern Italy, is one of the country’s most renowned wine regions, celebrated for its rich winemaking heritage and diverse array of wines. The region benefits from a diverse range of microclimates, influenced by the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Dolomite Mountains to the north, providing ideal conditions for grape cultivation. Veneto is perhaps best known for its production of Amarone della Valpolicella, a prestigious red wine crafted from dried Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. This unique appassimento method results in a rich, full-bodied wine with complex flavours of dried fruit, spice, and leather. Additionally, Veneto is renowned for its crisp and refreshing Prosecco, made primarily from the Glera grape, which thrives in the region’s rolling hills.
